Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026 (revised)
1. Introduction
KidGuide™ ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service. By using KidGuide™, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information (optional): If you sign up using email and password, we collect the name and email address you provide. However, providing this information is not required to use the app — you may instead choose to sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, each of which allows you to control how much personal information (if any) is shared with us. In particular, Sign in with Apple allows you to keep your email address completely private.
Parent birth data: Birth date, time, and place you voluntarily provide for astrological chart calculations.
Child birth data: Name, birth date, time, place, and gender for children you add to your account.
Profile photos: Any avatars or photos you upload.
Payment information: When you purchase a KidGuide™ lifetime access, your payment is processed securely by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or raw banking details on our servers. We do retain transaction records including: the purchase amount, transaction date, and confirmation of whether lifetime access has been granted to your account.
Usage data: Standard technical data such as browser type, device, and pages visited to improve the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
To calculate astrological natal charts and generate personalized AI insights.
To deliver the core features of the Service to you.
To process and verify your one-time lifetime access payment.
To send optional email reminders and tips (which you can control in Account Settings).
To improve and maintain the App's performance and features.
To respond to support inquiries.
3a. Payment Processing & Financial Data
All payment transactions are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. When you complete a purchase:
Your card details are entered directly into a secure checkout — KidGuide™ never sees or stores your raw card number, expiration date, or CVV.
A confirmation token is returned to our servers, which we use solely to verify and record your lifetime access status.
We retain records of completed transactions (amount and date) for accounting and fraud prevention purposes.
KidGuide™ offers a one-time, non-refundable lifetime access purchase. No recurring billing or subscription charges are made after your initial payment.
For questions about your payment or to dispute a charge, contact us via Account Settings.
Financial Disclaimer: KidGuide™ is not a financial institution and does not store, transfer, or process funds directly. We are not liable for any payment errors, fraud, or disputes that arise through our payment processor's platform.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
KidGuide™ is designed for use by parents and guardians, not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. Birth data entered for children is submitted by the parent or guardian and is used solely to generate parenting insights for that adult. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child without parental consent, please contact us immediately to have it removed.
5. Third-Party Services
KidGuide™ relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each service receives only the data necessary for its specific function:
Base44 (Platform & AI Infrastructure) — KidGuide™ is built on the Base44 platform, which provides hosting, database storage, authentication, and AI model access. Your account data, child and parent profiles, and birth data are stored and processed on Base44 infrastructure. Base44 also routes requests to AI language models to generate your personalized parenting insights. Data Storage: By default, all data is stored in the United States. If you have an Elite or Enterprise plan with Base44, you may request EU or UK data residency. Base44 maintains Data Processing Agreements (DPA) and is committed to GDPR compliance. View Base44's privacy policy and DPA at base44.com/privacy-policy and base44.com/dpa.
AI Language Models (Insight Generation) — To generate personalized astrological insights, parenting tips, and chat responses, birth chart data (zodiac signs, planetary placements, house cusps) is sent to AI language models via the Base44 platform. This data does not include your name, email address, or payment information. AI providers process this data under their own privacy policies and do not use it to identify you personally.
Email Delivery Service — If you opt in to email reminders and tips, your email address is shared with our transactional email provider solely for the purpose of delivering those messages. You can opt out at any time via Account Settings.
We do not use any third-party advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data brokers. We do not sell your data to any third party.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only: (a) with the third-party service providers described in Section 5 above, who are necessary to operate the App and are bound by confidentiality obligations; (b) if required by law or valid legal process; or (c) to protect the rights, safety, or property of KidGuide™ or its users.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time via Account Settings → Danger Zone. Upon deletion, all your profile data, child records, and parent profiles are permanently removed from our systems.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access the data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; or object to certain processing.
EU/EEA Users (GDPR): You have rights to data portability, erasure, and may lodge complaints with your local data protection authority. Base44 maintains a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and complies with GDPR requirements. For formal requests, please contact us or review Base44's DPA at base44.com/dpa.
Canadian Users (PIPEDA/Law 25): You have rights to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information under Canadian privacy laws. Your data is stored in the United States by Base44 under data transfer mechanisms approved by both jurisdictions.
All Users: To exercise these rights, use the account deletion feature in the App (Account Settings → Danger Zone) or contact us through the in-app support chat.
10. Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal, essential cookies and local storage for authentication and user preferences (such as dark mode settings). We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell browsing data.
11. Limitation of Liability for Data Matters
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KIDGUIDE™, ITS CREATOR, OWNER, AND ADMINISTRATOR SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY LOSS, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, BREACH, OR MISUSE OF DATA ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. BY USING KIDGUIDE™, YOU WAIVE ALL CLAIMS AGAINST THE RELEASED PARTIES RELATED TO DATA PRIVACY, SECURITY INCIDENTS, OR ANY OTHER PRIVACY-RELATED MATTER. YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO DISCONTINUE USE AND DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Contact
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the in-app support chat or through the Account Settings page.
